I’m Leeanne, an award winning PA with 18 years’ experience, and I’m here to tell you that trying to be an expert at everything in your business will not lead to success.

I learnt this the hard way.
Young Leeanne was ambitious and keen to impress, but out of my depth. I took roles with no training, no support, where I had no voice and buried my head in the sand in the hope that everything I didn’t know how to do would disappear (spoiler alert: it didn’t, it came back to bite).

A conversation with a wise, loving friend challenged me to think differently; to focus on what I wanted, to get specific, to make space for it. I realised:
You don’t have to stay in situations that aren’t working for you.
Asking for and accepting help is a strength.
Rest, and making time for self-care is essential for growth.
Within two weeks of that conversation, I was offered my first PA role. Ten years later, after the birth of my daughter, I launched LAVA, with the intention of being that friend and providing heart-led business support to heart-led businesses.
In 2021, LAVA, The Agency was born. Our team and clients have grown, but our mission to support champions of inclusivity to make space focus on their mission, while we take care of everything else, holds strong.
